Nice surprise today

So we just got email from our guide (Ahmed Hamed Yousif) that he wants to move us from the Cairo Marriott Palace on Zamalek out to the Mena House Oberoi in Giza, overlooking the pyramids.  Since that's the hotel I wanted to stay at from the get go, but was out of our budget, I'm thrilled at the change.  He explained that with random non-violent demonstrations on an almost daily basis, our three days in Cairo, two of which will be spent touring the pyramids, will likely see us stuck in chaotic traffic with potentially long delays when the streets are closed down for the protests.  So, it's a no-brainer: we are going to be relaxing at the Mena House Oberoi looking at the pyramids in 13 days!
